A till that stays up when the internet goes down

For a coffee shop, a minute of downtime during the morning rush means guests walking out. Ordo installs on a Windows or Linux computer and keeps every record inside the café: menu, orders, stock and shifts. If the internet drops, the till carries on as usual.

Barista tablets and the kitchen screen connect to that computer over the café Wi-Fi and open in a browser, with nothing to install on them. The local network is all you need inside the café. There is also an online version in the browser, which does need internet.

Updates arrive automatically, but the app offers to install them when it suits you, so the till never restarts in the middle of a shift.

Tenge, Almaty time and a Kazakh interface

During setup you choose your country. For Kazakhstan, Ordo sets tenge and the Almaty time zone and formats numbers and currency the Kazakh way. Shifts, day close and reports follow local time. If your café is in a different time zone, you can set it yourself.

The interface is available in Kazakh, Russian, English and other languages. Language is chosen separately from currency and tax settings, and set on each device, so the barista's till can run in Kazakh while the manager's tablet shows Russian.

What Ordo does

Ordo is made for coffee shops and small cafés. One price covers every feature and any number of devices.

  • Fast ordering: large buttons, drink photos, milk and syrup choices, payment by cash, card or split.
  • Kitchen and bar screen: a paid order appears on the tablet straight away and the barista moves it from waiting to ready with one tap.
  • Recipe-based stock: beans and milk are deducted with every cup sold, Ordo warns you about items running low and prints a shopping list.
  • Sales and day close: revenue, top items and average ticket, and at shift close you see how much cash should be in the drawer.
  • Staff roles: separate logins for owner, manager and barista, with discount limits and refunds behind the owner's PIN.
  • Regular guests: search by phone number, cashback and order history.
  • Telegram: the shift report and stock warnings reach the owner's phone.

Online cash registers and fiscal receipts

Ordo prints regular customer receipts. They are not fiscal receipts, and Ordo does not replace an online cash register (KKM). If your café must issue fiscal receipts, keep issuing them on your online cash register and run Ordo alongside it for orders, the kitchen, stock and reports.

The rules depend on your business type and tax regime, so confirm them with your accountant.

In practice it looks like this: the barista takes the order in Ordo, the guest pays by cash or card, the fiscal receipt is issued on the online cash register, and the order goes to the bar screen. At shift close you compare the cash and card totals in the Ordo report with the terminal and register reports.

Hardware

Ordo runs on ordinary equipment. You will need:

  • a Windows or Linux computer or laptop that holds the café data;
  • tablets or phones with a browser for baristas and the kitchen, as many as you like;
  • a 58 mm or 80 mm ESC/POS thermal receipt printer over USB;
  • a cash drawer connected to the receipt printer;
  • your own card terminal from any bank: the guest pays there and the order is marked as paid by card in Ordo.

Pricing

Ordo costs 1990 Kyrgyz som a month for one café, about 23 US dollars. That includes every feature, any number of devices, updates, and support on WhatsApp, Telegram and email. The first two weeks are free, with no card.

Ordo has been tested on real data: more than 12,000 real orders from a working café were moved into it. If you are leaving another POS, send us an export and we will help move your menu, recipes and sales history.
