Guests and loyalty

A café loyalty program built into your till

Ordo is a till made for coffee shops and small cafés, and the loyalty program comes built in. The barista looks a guest up by phone number, Ordo adds cashback as points, and next time the guest uses those points to pay for part of the order. No plastic cards, no separate service and no extra subscription.

No card needed. Cancel anytime.

How cashback works in Ordo

Switch the program on in settings. Set one cashback percentage for the whole menu, then give individual items their own rate, or zero to leave them out.

  • One point equals one unit of your currency, so 50 points are worth 50 of it.
  • Cashback is worked out after discounts, so a discount and points never double up.
  • The part of an order paid with points earns no new points.
  • Guests can pay for part or all of an order with points, and the rest in cash or by card.
  • A refund can go onto the guest’s balance instead of back as cash: the money stays in the till and the guest spends it as points next time.

Guests by phone number

At the till the barista types a phone number and immediately sees the guest and their points balance. Adding a new guest takes seconds: a name and a number are enough.

The guest’s profile shows how many visits they have made, how much they have spent, when they last came in and what they order most. The full history of points earned and spent is there too. It makes it easy to recognise regulars and offer them the usual.

Messages to guests on WhatsApp

Link the café’s WhatsApp to Ordo and you can send the receipt to the guest after payment, with the points earned on that order and their current balance. The guest can see the program working and has a reason to come back.

You can also switch on automatic messages written from your own templates: when a guest’s balance reaches a set threshold, or on every Nth visit, say the fifth. For guests you haven’t seen in a while, send a message to a chosen group, up to 50 at a time.

  • Pick guests by number of visits, by points balance or by how many days since they last came in.
  • You write the messages yourself, and the guest’s name, points and balance are filled in.
  • WhatsApp needs the internet; earning and spending points works without it.

Why loyalty belongs in the till

A separate loyalty app means another integration, another login for baristas and another monthly bill. When the program lives in the till, points are added at the moment of payment and nobody has to switch screens during the morning rush.

  • It works offline: guest and points data is stored on the café’s own computer.
  • It is included in the Ordo price: 1,990 KGS a month for one café (about 23 USD), with every feature and any number of devices.
  • Sales by guest export to Excel or CSV.
  • Settings show how many items earn no cashback and switch them to the menu-wide rate in one click, in case they were left out by accident.

Worth knowing up front

Ordo does not send SMS, run birthday offers or give guests a mobile app of their own. The program is deliberately simple: a phone number, cashback as points and paying with points. For most coffee shops that is enough to keep regulars coming back.

Ordo prints regular customer receipts, not fiscal ones. If the law where you trade requires fiscal receipts, keep issuing them on your fiscal register; Ordo runs alongside it rather than replacing it.

FAQ

Does the guest need a card or an app?

No. Guests are found by phone number at the till, and their balance can be sent to them with the receipt on WhatsApp.

Can different drinks earn different cashback?

Yes. There is one rate for the whole menu, and any item can have its own rate, or zero to exclude it.

What is one point worth?

One point equals one unit of the café’s currency. In Kyrgyzstan, one point is one som.

Can a guest pay for the whole order with points?

Yes, if the balance covers it. They can also pay for part of the order with points and the rest in cash or by card.

Can I reach guests who haven’t been in for a while?

Yes, once the café’s WhatsApp is linked to Ordo. Pick guests who haven’t come in for, say, 30 days and send them a message from your own template, up to 50 people at a time.

Is the loyalty program an extra charge?

No. It is part of the single Ordo price, along with the till, kitchen screen, stock and reports.
